Sarah Jackson is a landscape painter based in Charlotte, North Carolina. When she is not spending time in her studio she is guiding some of the youngest learners in her Kindergarten Classroom. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, she moved to the United States in 2018, bringing with her a rich artistic perspective shaped by diverse landscapes and cultural experiences. Sarah attended Davidson College on the Pepper Visual Arts Scholarship where her artistic practice was challenged, she explored multiple mediums, expanded her technique, and developed her artistic practice and conceptual goals.

Sarah's work is deeply influenced by the natural beauty around us and the striking contrasts between her South African roots and her life in America. “I am inspired by the landscapes in my everyday life, from my travels and from my past. I primarily work with oil on canvas and love creating large-scale oil paintings that envelop the viewer. I know a work is successful when my viewers can bring their own experiences to a piece. My paintings explore the beauty of our landscapes in an effort to capture, and hopefully nurture, the deep love and connection we all have to our surroundings.” - Sarah Jackson  Through her paintings, Sarah aims to capture the experiences, the constant changes and the memories that are present in every landscape.
